View Larger Map Asheville is the "hub" of Western North Carolina, a mountain city located adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway between mileposts 380 and 400. If you travel by air we are 13 miles north of the Asheville/Hendersonville Airport. We are a two hour drive from either Charlotte, NC (125 miles) or Knoxville, TN (110). Atlanta is only a four hour drive away. North Lodge is two miles north of I-40, Exit 50, a key access route to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. Our wonderful bed and breakfast is conveniently located in the heart of Asheville, one mile from downtown and blocks from Asheville Mission Hospital. Ample free off-street parking. Due to the varying systems and software updates, guests have been misdirected and become lost. Additionally, some GPS systems direct guests to turns that do not necessarily exist. PLEASE PRINT THIS PAGE AND USE THE DIRECTIONS BELOW TO INSURE EASY ACCESS TO NORTH LODGE ON OAKLAND. Thank you. Directions Directions From I-40 Traveling EAST on I-40, use exit 50 and turn left on to Biltmore Avenue. Traveling WEST on I-40 use exit 50B and turn right on to Biltmore Avenue. Stay in the far right lane. At the second stop light there will be two left turn lanes and the far right lane will travel straight through. Travel straight through via that far right lane and continue on Biltmore Avenue. You will cross a set of railroad tracks - McDonald's will also be on your left. At the fourth traffic light after the railroad tracks, just past a pedestrian walkover, turn left on to Victoria Avenue. This area is under construction but passable. Continue on Victoria to the stop sign. Travel toward the right through the stop sign. Take the second right after the stop sign on to Oakland Road. We are #84, at the bottom of the hill on the right side. Directions From I-240 and/or Via 19/23 Take the Charlotte Street exit (Exit 5B). Travel south on Charlotte to Biltmore Ave. Left onto Biltmore Ave., and turn right onto Victoria at third set of traffic lights. See above directions, Victoria to Oakland. Directions From Biltmore Estate Leave the Estate through the left hand exit lane. Turn left on to McDowell Street. At the third stop light, which is also the entrance to Mission Hospital, turn right into the hospital. Proceed to the stop sign at the top of the hill. Turn left at the stop sign and take the very next left at the next stop sign on to Victoria Avenue. Proceed on Victoria Avenue until you see the sign on your right for 111 Victoria Avenue (or Asheville Orthopedic Clinic). Just beyond that sign turn right on to Oakland Road. We are at the bottom of the hill and our sign will be at the end of the driveway entrance.
